Our Lady Mercy Place Harris Park is opening in the first half of 2023. We are seeking a Catering and Hospitality Manager to provide leadership and manage the housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring residents receive efficient and effective services, with all requirements met in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

As an ageing community, it is becoming increasingly difficult to care for the sick and frail at home. The newly developed site, Our Lady Mercy Place Harris Park will enable us to better care for and support our seniors and to keep them close within the community, near to their families, their people and their church.

As the Catering and Hospitality Manager, you will provide leadership and manage the catering service, ensuring residents are provided with a variety of nutritious meals whilst maintaining health regulation compliancy.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will provide leadership and manage the housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring residents receive efficient and effective services, with all requirements met in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.

- Qualifications as a Chef or Cook are essential
- Demonstrated experience in supervision and management of a large team of staff
- Working knowledge of OHS standards

To be successful in this role you must be an experienced leader with a true passion for working in aged care. Establishing yourself as a respected leader, you will mentor others, provide hospitality related coaching and direction to staff; you will be a positive, proactive and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills. With your experience in a similar role, you will have a solid understanding of catering, housekeeping and laundry functions. You have a good grasp of financial and people management, supporting overall strategic goals.
