Additional information:

- These roles are Permanent, Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, where the spread of hours will be between 9am to 10pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-full day Welcome induction.
- If successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 18 March 2024.

**About this work area**

As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

We are looking for co-workers in the following areas:
Markethall (Home Decoration/Outdoor and Home Organisation):

- Being an expert and passionate about the Home Decoration/Outdoor range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Live Plants range (Home Decoration department).
- Analysing sales space capacities based on system parameters to secure high stock availability.

Self Serve Furniture Area:

- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products and recycling of cardboard.
- Working closely with the Logistics team to ensure the Self Serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable.

Product Recovery & Quality:

- Revitalise products for resale by repackaging and offering them as As-Is items.
- Repacking IKEA products back into a saleable condition.
- Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
- Execute the Product Quality and compliance tasks in the store.

As Sales Co-worker you are or have:

- Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
- Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems.
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks and are comfortable with on-the-job physical activity.
- A customer-focused mindset and always strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
- A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting.
