Additional information:
These roles are Permanent Part-time.
The Product Recovery & Quality Co-worker role is 30hrs/fortnight.
The Sales Co-worker (Kitchen Planning) role is 50hrs/fortnight.
The Hiring Managers for this role are Dipenkumar Patel PR&Q Manager & Alexandra Valuri Shaw Shopkeeper (Kitchens).

As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts from 8am to 9:30pm.

You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

About this work area

As Product Recovery & Quality Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.

Revitalise products for resale by repackaging and offering them as As-Is items.
Repacking IKEA products back into a saleable condition.
Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
Execute the Product Quality and compliance tasks in the store.

Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes.

Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers.


As Sales Co-worker (Kitchens) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customers experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.

Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.

Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.
Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.

Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
Able to prioritise multiple tasks and are comfortable with on-the-job physical activity.
Adopt a customer-focused mindset and strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
A friendly attitude and are comfortable with connecting and interacting with people.
A passion for building furniture, our products, and our sustainability initiatives.
Motivated, results-driven mindset that does not shy away from challenges.
Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems.
