Our busy Executive Support and Divisional Services (ESDS) Branch in the Science, Economics and Insights (SEI) Division is currently seeking to appoint an **Assistant Project Officer**. Our division is part of the Environment and Heritage Group in the Department of Environment and Heritage.

In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to a range of executive support and divisional projects for the SEI division. The team oversees and coordinates a wide range of initiatives for the division including administrative support, divisional communication and engagement, workforce planning, asset management, fleet management, facilities and accommodation, statutory reporting, and Work Health & Safety (WHS). The team also delivers divisional ministerial and executive support services, business planning, reporting, and priority projects for the SEI Executive Director.

This is an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of SEI division and its operations as you can be involved in a wide range of research, analysis, reporting and administrative activities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

**About You**
- Proficient in the delivery of multiple project support activities in a high-volume environment with competing demands and tight deadlines
- Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Your strong organisational skills and attention to detail is crucial to your success
- A collaborative team player with initiative and ability to respond to changing priorities.

You have high-level computer skills including expertise in the use of computer-based systems including MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Content Manager (CM9) or similar content management systems. Although not essential, knowledge and experience in SAP HR and SAP Financials would be beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Project Officer to join a dedicated and collaborative business critical team and actively contribute to the Environment and Heritage Group’s delivery of outcomes for the people of NSW. **Essential requirements**
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of project administration for a broad range of projects including completion of a range of activities with competing priorities within agreed timelines and standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce accurate and well-structured documentation.
