**About the role**:
Reporting into the Head of Data & Insights, this role involves research, analysis and data modelling across a range of internal and external sources to generate business insights. The Insights Analyst will:

- Monitor market reports and source external data to develop comprehensive market insight packs
- Partner with internal data and commercial teams to develop an understanding of internal & external data sources available
- Develop analysis methodologies to support customer segmentation
- Combine data across internal and external sources using a range of analytical techniques to support generation of insight
- Reference data and maintain library of support documentation
- Present analysis and insights to a range of internal stakeholders
- Develop forecasting models for scenarios
- Research statistics and insights and prepare briefing papers and conference presentations

**A little about you**:
To be successful in the role you will have experience in a similar role and an understanding of the Australian agriculture industry and markets, you will also demonstrate the following:

- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work proactively and innovatively in a small team environment.
- Proven ability in data management
- Ability to run SQL reports
- Ability to simplify complex analysis into insights and visualisations
- Experience editing and reviewing reports
- Experience using Power BI
