**About the role**

This is an exciting full time permanent opportunity to join Bene Aged Care’s Finance team as a Payroll Officer at our Head Office based in Adelaide City. You will become part of the backbone of our existing Payroll team and will work closely with them to provide the very best Payroll service across the organisation. This is a great opportunity to develop a broad range of payroll skills, and a great fit for an outcome-focused individual who is looking for a challenge

**What will you be doing?**

In this role, you will be working collaboratively with Senior Payroll Officer and Finance Manager. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and remaining customer focused at all times. You're proactive, flexible, and resilient and happy to work autonomously, use your initiative, and have a high attention to detail.

**Your part in our Bene Aged Care Family**
- Preparing and processing payroll actions required within a fortnightly pay cycle including wage variations, terminations and leave entitlements.
- Review workplace awards on a regular basis to ensure each employee is being paid in line with workplace laws and entitlements.
- Deliver timely and accurate payroll services, including fortnightly payroll, taxation, RTWSA calculations and superannuation payments.
- Monitor and maintain accurate payroll records including on boarding and off boarding.
- Prepare and collate reports for in-house and government reporting.
- Assist in end of month reconciliations and account integration preparation.
- Liaising with all internal and external parties relating to Payroll as required ensuring compliance and service delivery
- General administration requirements as directed to ensure Payroll records and systems are accurate and efficiently maintained.

**What makes a difference for us?**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant industry experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar end to end role within payroll preferably in an aged care/health care environment
- Experience in using of Payroll CIM software (_desirable_)
- Previous experience in understanding different awards and EBAs.
- National Police Certificate
- Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and seasonal influenza vaccination
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
