**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the General Manager - People and Performance, this is a newly created role to form part of the growing people and performance team. Nationally, the role will take responsibility for supporting the General Manager on the overall strategy alongside ensuring excellent day to day People services for the business and driving compliance and governance in all areas.

Key duties include:

- Actively participate in the development of the business HR strategy and plans.
- Consult with the business in the provision of HR advice and support.
- Coach and provide hands on guidance to management teams in HR issues, and where required participate directly in managing key HR issues.
- Provide support to the General Manager - People & Performance on HR initiatives such as acquisitions, employee engagement activities, performance planning and succession planning.
- Undertake end-to-end recruitment activities, including position description development and review, job ad drafting and advertising, interviewing and pre-employment screening.
- Provide coaching and support to leaders on performance management and disciplinary matters, the interpretation of awards, company policies, guidelines and legal obligations.
- Assist managers in conducting ER/IR investigations including grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Support in the administration and monitoring of the results of employee engagement surveys and contribute to the development of action plans in to address and improve employee
- Monitor people dashboards and metrics for the business and assist in the development and implementation of action plans to address critical issues.
- Participate in workforce planning activities for the business.
- Ownership of remuneration, recognition and reward for the business.
- Assist business units in identifying needs and skills gaps.
- Design, implement and deliver frontline training programs across the business.
- Assist with change management responsibilities across the organization.

**The Person**

To be successful in this role you have:

- A Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business or similar
- A background in a People and Culture advisory / business partnering role ideally on a national scale or multi site operation
- Experience in blue and white collar environments
- A true generalist background with experience across all areas of the employee lifecycle with the ability to think strategically whiles being hands on
- Proven understanding of HR Information Systems and Data Analysis / Flows
- Knowledge of IR/ER process and legislation
- The ability to build relationships and influence a large stakeholder group across the business
- An ability to demonstrate a considerate and empathetic approach to people
