Our client, a leader in the distribution and formulation of specialty chemicals is looking for a highly experienced **Inventory Officer **to support their team in Mulgrave.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all inventory transactions and reporting, ensuring they are accurately processed and prepared in a timely manner.
**About you**:This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about numbers, reporting and inventory control and who is task-focused, highly organised, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a dynamic supportive team.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Reviewing and maintaining, reporting, reconciliation, and transaction of stock
- Investigating and resolving stock balance
- Maintaining the supporting documentation and records
- Coordinating, processing, and reviewing inventory adjustments and transfer requests
- Assisting with warehouse stock takes
- Assisting the finance team with monthly tasks
- Managing 3PLs
- Adhoc tasks
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Experience with inventory control
- Strong numeracy skills
- Strong Microsoft Suite and computer literacy skills
- Strong administration experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
