**About the Role**:
This is a contract role for 10 months (maternity coverage), office-based.
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated
**Inventory Controller** who is ready to make this role their own and take ownership for inventory management across the Company.
Reporting directly to the General Manager this position is a hands-on role and is suitable for someone who has an extensive experience across varying inventory management roles.

**Duties**:
- Maintain and accurately manage the inventory control function & procedures.
- Maintain the demand planning system and utilise accurate forecasts and predictions to avoid insufficiencies or excess surplus
- Ensure optimum stock levels comply with sales demand and stock surplus
- Manage and co-ordinate inventory processes, systems, and procedures
- Placement of orders to external vendors and the monitoring of internal inventory transfers.
- Regular tracking of orders and transfers, keeping updated records of shipments, delivery information etc.
- Work with the warehouse to ensure accurate records of stock movements are maintained.
- Evaluate suppliers and freight companies to achieve cost effective deals and maintain trusted relationships
**Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years in a stock controller or similar position (managing a minimum of 1000 SKUs is desirable).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Inventory Management or similar.
- Experience in the design and development of inventory control and demand planning processes
- Experience in planning, execution and management of cyclical and annual stock takes involving a large and diverse SKU base.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and processes.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation.
- Be process driven with a high attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient with ERP software (SAGE preferably)
- A strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A great team player
