**About the role**

As a Technical and Logistics Specialist, you will work with your portfolio of gold mining customers to provide your technical expertise to ensure the safe handling and delivery of sodium cyanide around the world. You will focus on ensuring a safe and secure supply chain that is executed to meet the specific countries regulatory and legislative standards both domestically and internationally.

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Manager and as part of a team, you will also be responsible for auditing customer sodium cyanide unloading and storage facilities to ensure they comply with relevant business and regulatory standards and coordinating sodium cyanide supply chains on the routes you have previously approved.

The role will involve travel internationally and within Australia intermittently, with the flexibility to manage your schedule to balance your work and personal commitments.

You will receive on the job product training and support, prior knowledge or experience with Sodium Cyanide is not required.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Prioritising your safety, and the safety of others in all practices.
- Operating as the main contact for sodium cyanide related supply chain and product queries for your portfolio of customers, including delivering emergency responding training.
- Responding to issues and incidents associated with customers and transporters, coordinating investigations to support continuous improvement.
- Managing transport contractors relationships and operational performance, including oversight of driver training compliance, route management plan reviews and ensuring that activities are in line with contractual and statutory obligations.
- Undertaking inspections and audits to ensure compliance with AGR and statutory standards on selected mine site infrastructure and developing reports on findings.
- Evaluating and implementing strategic opportunities so that you can optimise business performance.
- Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations, as well as transport and logistics requirements.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build positive relationships with customers, transporters and regulators.
- Demonstrable technical experience in an operational environment or a technical sales support role.
- Strong literal skills enabling a high standard of report writing capability supporting customer interaction
