About the Role (your why)
The Capacity/Availability Manager is responsible for the operation and improvement the Capacity and Availability Management process so that managed services and infrastructure can deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner.
Our offices are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best
Due to client requirements, to be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an AGSVA Baseline clearance.
What you’ll do
At the moment, as Capacity/Availability Manager you will be focused on:
- Defines and implements Capacity/Availability Management policies, processes, tools and procedures
- Work with customers to obtain and understand demand requirements and patterns of business activity
- Manage an ongoing program with the client and delivery teams to identify and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Identify efficiencies that can be implemented to reduce the cost of delivering services without compromising the quality-of-service levels
- Monitor and track delivery of services against relevant SLA’s.
- Build strong relationships and develop a sound understanding of the client’s business needs, demand requirements and patterns of business activity
- Escalate risks discovered in, or affecting, the Capacity/Availability Management service
- End to end ownership and management of internal and third-party suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.

What you’ll bring
**Required experience**:
- Previous experience working as a Capacity/Availability Manager within a large complex multi-vendor environment
- Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment
- Broad understanding of technical concepts and frameworks
**Nice to have**:
- Ideally prior experience as a Capacity/Availability Manager in an IT Managed Services environment
