**About the company**

We are looking for an Estimating Manager to join a highly successful construction business in the ACT. They provide specialised formwork, REO, Concrete, Civil and Project Management services. Projects range from commercial structural contracts to civil contracts with Commercial, Government and quality T1, T2 and T3 builders both locally and regionally.

**About the role**

You will be responsible to delivering quality on point bids including the review and negation of client's contracts working directly with the Managing Director. You will need to drive and source new leads that align with the company's objectives, capabilities and values to ensure sustainable growth.

**Key Responsibilities for the role**
- Directly responsible for assisting the business in its strategic growth plans through driving the estimating process for relevant bids.
- Define subcontract and supply packages by compiling the procurement plan.
- Review request for quotes, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers address queries during tender process.
- Identify risk and opportunities, oversee preliminary construction schedule and resource requirements with planner.
- Prepare submissions documents, pricing, schedule and associated QA forms for review.
- Actively participate in industry, client and community relations to promote and enhance company image and portfolio.

**Skills & experience**
- Previous experience in estimating and securing tenders that are delivered on budget.
- A sound understanding in civil, formwork, REO and concrete.
- Proficient in all software programs used in estimating.
- Ability to breakdown construction operations into logical sequence of activities..
- Excellent leadership, communication skills, customer relations and negotiation abilities. Also performs well under pressure.
- Tertiary Qualified in Civil/ Structural Engineering and full working rights with valid driver's licence.

**Benefits**

Salary package negotiable based on experience $110k - $150k plus super and delivery incentives. Variety of exciting projects ranging from 1 million to 15 million, such as concreting residential basements, car parks, commercial spaces and a whole lot more.
