**About our Opportunity**

As the Transport Manager you'll form part of our operational team at our Dandenong South site with 4 direct reports and overseeing 60 drivers, delivering our products to Metro, regional areas as well as interstate into NSW and ACT. You'll ensure efficient operation of the department by leading and supporting the team to maximise our customers experience. This is a true people role, you will need to be confident with managing difficult conversations, troubleshooting solutions with respect to delivery issues to improve the customer experience and to meet the requirements of the customer.

In addition, you’ll:

- maintain engagement and culture through leadership, training and mentorship
- drive training initiatives and processes to develop team members
- performance management including preparation of performance action plans
- continual development and improvement of our safety culture

**About You**

We’re searching for someone who has a background in Transport who has extensive knowledge of trucks and the requirements for operating a truck fleet. Balancing competing priorities and demands comes naturally to you, we’re looking for a people leader who has highly developed interpersonal skills, who can maintain high level of employee engagement with the ability to adapt their communication style to the needs of their drivers and customers. You'll need to be pragmatic in your approach to providing quality customer service with capability of lateral thinking when resolving problems that arise.

In addition, you must have:

- completion of Chain of Responsibility training
- understanding of LEAN & CI methodology and principles
- able to analyse and interpret performance data
