**scouted.** have partnered with a Private Developer & Investment Manager who have a dedicated focus on the growing BTR market. The core strategy of this group revolves around the development and management of Built to Rent projects across the Eastern Seaboard market of Australia. As a testament to this platform and its leadership, this group is supported by an Institutional Capital Partner who has committed significant funding to the strategy, with additional Capital Raising as part of the strategy moving forward. With a goal to be the leading ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) focused build to Rent operator in Australia, this group has close to 900 homes secured, with a target of 5,000 residences by 2026. This group is committed to providing a minimum of 10% to impact housing, being a combination of social, key worker and specialist disability accommodation as well as being a leader in environmental sustainability.

This role will be a key contributor to the success of the operations of each completed project and a senior member of the leadership team.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the CEO, this role will include the following:

- Develop, deliver and maintain systems for operations of the Build to Rent community and teams
- Lead, manage and guide teams to optimise the performance of each BTR site/community, upon completion
- Delivering strategically innovative solutions to support business growth
- Preparation of reports, presentations and investment committee papers
- Build and maintain relationships with the internal marketing, leasing, facilities management and community management teams, as well as external consultants
- Support the development team with progression for future sites

You will have worked in the capacity of a Head of Operations / Operations Manager, with 10 to 15 + years of experience in an industry(ies) such as hotels, retirement villages, student accommodation etc., with a proven skill of high level customer service, leadership and successful development and implementation of internal teams.

You will be able to perform the following comfortably:

- High level of customer service, marketing, leasing, facilities management, property management and property-technology skills
- Successfully hire, train, facilitate and manage property-based teams to reach peak performance
- Maintaining and managing building budgets and asset management plans
- Sound knowledge and understanding of residential legislation
- Analyse and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems
- Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently with mínimal oversight
- Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Successfully manage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule
