**The Role**
Make a difference in our community

This dynamic position is responsible for leading a talented and committed team in the development and delivery of the strategic communication and engagement priorities of the Public Affairs department and ensuring the effective delivery of relevant customer-centric services and activities.

This is to be achieved through strong leadership and engagement with key stakeholders and staff, a commitment to continuous improvement, and informed by a deep understanding of the needs of our diverse and growing community.

**About you**
You are tertiary qualified with extensive experience in contemporary communications and engagement ideally in the local government sector.

You are a values-driven leader who is invested in developing and maintaining a high-performing engaged team that fosters innovation and continuous improvement.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where your political acumen and expertise in issues management shine alongside your skills in stakeholder and relationship management.
