**The Role**
Due to ongoing growth, we are now looking to add to our Operations team.
Our Support Office is based in South Hurstville and the centres in this portfolio will be in from Western Sydney, Northern Sydney, and up to North Gosford.
Reporting to the Head of Operations and working true to our mission statement; “Thrive is committed to excellence in early education”, this role is suited to an experienced multi-site manager or seasoned director who strives to make a real impact across many contexts.
The role of Area Manager is to support, guide, and mentor centre leadership teams and educators through articulate communication. No two days will look the same as you problem solve when needed, be confident and professional in implementing any changes required to operational responsibilities, and deliver consistency across multiple Thrive centres.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Providing leadership to Centre Leader/Nominated Supervisor(s) regarding all aspects of the operation of the service(s) in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Liaising closely with and providing periodical reports to the Head of Operations regarding matters relating to the operation of the service(s)
- Management of compliance in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Integrating and supporting the acquisition journey for Centres moving into the Thrive portfolio.
- Management of budgets and reporting
- Supporting the Centre Leader/NS with training and mentoring to effectively manage the service(s), whilst providing feedback regarding performance to Centre Leader/NS(s)
- Ensuring Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities and obligations are met
- Collaboration with Marketing and Centre Leaders/NS(s) on growth and increasing occupancy
- Point of escalation for any issues that may arise from the Centre or Families
**About you**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within an Early Childhood Service or Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Nominated Supervisor position in an Early Childhood Service
- Diploma or teaching qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the operations of a long day care settings
- Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and team leadership and management of staff.
- Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018).
