Office of Public Prosecutions Victoria
The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a workforce of approximately 500 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.
Manager Workplace Relations, Safe Work & Policy
Reporting to the Director People and Culture this newly created position plays a critical assurance function to ensure OPP policies, procedures, and practices are contemporary and compliant with regulatory and Victorian Public Sector requirements. Strategic, inquisitive and customer focused, you will provide insightful advice and implement workplace relations and safe work frameworks and policies that enable the OPP to be a model public sector employer.
Drawing upon your systems thinking and client-centric approach you will develop and deliver a proactive program to improve workplace relations and safe work outcomes that contribute to performance, capability, and people experience in line with OPP strategy. In collaboration with the Wellbeing Manager, you will also ensure that people-based risks are effectively monitored and that there is an ongoing plan in place to enhance the Occupational Health and Safety System in line with relevant standards. As the lead Workplace Relations expert, the position also provides guidance in relation to IR/ER matters and manages escalated and/or complex cases.

It is anticipated you will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as; Bachelor / Masters qualifications in Law, Employment Law, Workplace Relations, Occupational Health and Safety.
