**A bit about the role**
**Flexible Library Information & Programs Officers** are responsible for providing highly mobile frontline support across libraries and other locations throughout Wyndham, particularly for the Pop Up Library Van and the Williams Landing Library Lounge. Every day will be different, from delivering high-quality early years programs and supporting adult learners at programs and events, to providing excellent customer service across our library network and supporting library visitors in the successful use of technology.
In this role, you will be agile and flexible in your approach as you engage with our community and assist with program delivery across our Library sites; no two days will be the same. To supplement your experience in program delivery, training will be provided to ensure you are across our exciting library programs and offerings amongst all age-groups.
To be successful in this role you will deliver positive and meaningful library experiences to the community, engaging with our diverse customer base and utilise your sound judgement and decision-making skills to support excellent customer service outcomes in the context of the library service.
We are seeking a part time Flexible Library Information & Programs Officer to join the team in the following position, though you may be required to work Saturday mornings or evenings as required:
Part Time Position 204976 - 24 hours per week
Monday 9.00am-6.00pm
Thursday 9.00am-6.00pm
Friday 9.00am-6.00pm
**What you’ll deliver**
- Top-quality library program delivery across locations and all audiences
- Excellent customer experiences for library attendees
- A positive contribution to the successful operation of Wyndham City Libraries
**What you’ll bring**
- **Valid Victorian driver's licence (essential), and willingness to drive the Pop-Up Library Van. **Training in driving the van is provided.
- Diploma of library and information services or equivalent qualification, or considerable equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Exceptional skills in time management
- Experience in program delivery or a willingness to undertake training in program delivery.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds.
- A flexible, proactive, and positive attitude to working across library and other locations, including travel at short notice.
- A current employee Working with Children Check.
