We are seeking a Billing Officer to join our Retail and Front line Services Group, Customer Services Division.

***The Opportunity**
As the Billing Officer you will be primarily responsible for accurate and timely operational delivery of billing and revenue assurance transactions in compliance with processes and procedures to ensure quality customer service.
**What you'll do**:
- Billing activity for all customer groups in accordance with HunterWater Policies and Customer Contract: includes meter reading,premise management, meter maintenance, billing, standpipes, remittance and conveyancing processing and bulk billing.
- Accurate and efficient delivery of all billing operational processes. Includes investigation and follow up of missing or conflicting billing and meter data.
- Maintain and promote a high standard of quality customer services including timely response to all customer enquiries and complaints.
- Data analysis, actioning and reporting to ensure the accuracy of information used to complete the customer billing process.
- Ability to contribute towards billing related projects and improvements.
- Other duties within Customer Services as required.

- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using billing and/or customer information
systems.
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Strong team player that actively contributes to team performance
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently to deadlines and to effectively manage challenging
and changing priorities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a specific focus on effective
customer relations

- Proven ability to work autonomously with a customer outcome driven focus.
- Ability to be self-driven and exercise judgement to identify issues and provide meaningful
solutions in an efficient manner.
***Desirable Criteria**:
- Certificate III in Business Administration
- Experience working within a Government and/or utility agency.
