**Salary Classification**: Administrative Officer Level 4 Year 1-2.

**Remuneration**: $35.22-$36.03 per hour excluding any applicable loadings, allowances and superannuation.
About the role

The Finance Officer is responsible for the successful processing of hospital revenue from Medicare and Health Funds. The role will form part of the finance department and support the team’s delivery of key financial services for the hospital.

**Your main duties will include**:
Liaise and assist both internal and external stakeholders with finance enquires.
Receipting and allocation of incoming deposits following appropriate procedures.
Month end processes and checks including accruals, journals, reconciliations and reporting.
Present and project a positive and professional image in all interactions with team, staff, volunteers, patients.

**About you**:
Relevant qualification in accounting or relevant work experience within a Finance Department.
Ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and process a high-volume workload.
Experience using customer/patient information management systems, billing/finance systems, and MS Office products.
Demonstrated oral and written communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated attention to detail.
