- Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

A fabulous opportunity is available to join the dynamic team of Wardspersons at Nepean hospital. Both permanent full time and part time positions are available.
This imperative role within NBMLHD is responsible for transporting patients and items throughout the hospital and providing assistance to patients within the clinical setting, with services must be performed in a courteous and efficient manner with particular attention to customer service.
Your role will be to transport patient related items, equipment & medical files, specimens, including infectious risk specimens as required. At times you will undertake tasks that compliment patient care - obtain needed equipment and documentation along with assist nursing staff In lifting and positioning patients and pacifying and controlling refractory patients.

**What you will bring to this role**
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer service
- Ability to work Mornings, Evenings & Night duty shifts, across a 7day week roster
- Able to demonstrate problem solving an prioritisation skills in a work environment
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of work health and safety
- Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
