The Y WA is a not-for-profit community based organisation, operating across Western Australia. We deliver recreation, early childhood education and care, and youth services to thousands of Australians every day. **The Role**
The Y WA’s People Strategy aims to create a workplace that sets us apart from our competitors, delivers our strategic imperatives and enables our people to flourish. The People & Culture Business Partner role is pivotal to the implementation of a range of strategic and operational initiatives that support the Y’s People Strategy including developing a people centred employee experience, a conscious approach to leadership and becoming a learning organisation.
The People & Culture Business Partner will support the organisation in all aspects of strategic and operational HR by providing effective technical advice in all areas of HR Management.
The People & Culture Business Partner will maintain a portfolio of work across a range of business units, using their deep understanding of organisational priorities, including business units’ financial position, risks, strategic plans, people demographics, and culture and develop people solutions which deliver business objectives and achieve flourishing outcomes for our people.
Together the People and Culture team is committed to delivering outcomes that allow all our people to flourish - and enabling them to have a positive impact on children and young people in our community.
We are seeking a **permanent full time** position and **12 month full time parental leave cover**.
**What you’ll need to be successful**
- Relevant business partnering experience with demonstrated capability to interact with employees at all levels and comfortable with working strategically and operationally to support the development of the business strategy and implementation.
- Experience in employee relations and complex case management, including disciplinary processes, investigations and grievance resolution
- Experience across a broad generalist HR remit, focusing on business change, leadership development, and employee engagement
- A trusted partner with influential skills and a track record of delivering excellent results
- Demonstrates leadership that inspires and motivates people across the function to perform to their best
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or similar and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- National Police clearance, Working with Children Check and current WA C class Driver’s Licence
