We are currently seeking an experienced **Rail Protection Officer **to join our team based out of our **Mt Thorley **depot on a permanent basis. The position will see you working across our various rail projects across the Hunter Valley.

**Essential criteria**:

- Experience on major railway or maintenance contracts
- A Rail Industry Worker Card (eg Pegasus, Rail Industry, Track Easy)
- Rail Safety Induction accreditation
- Protection Officer Level 2 in ARTC network
- White card
- 5 plus years' experience in the industry
- Have the ability to work well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
- Have a strong safety awareness with an enthusiastic attitude with regards to promoting safety initiatives throughout the team

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Track inspection and certification qualifications
- Safeworking Level 1 or 2 qualifications
- MR license or greater
- Certificate II or III in Transport and Logistics (Rail Infrastructure)
- Rail plant operator certification in Hi-Rail Excavators and attachments

Due to the nature of the role, you must have the ability to work away from home and have your own transport.

As this role is based out of Mt Thorley, if you do not live within the local area you will be required to relocate prior to commencing in the role.
