**About the Role**
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (RIC) team and contribute to the impactful work of our researchers. As a Research Grants Officer, you will play a crucial role in the entire research grants process, from start to finish. This entails collaborating with research funders to strategically plan and oversee the development of new workflows for complex tasks, while consistently delivering high-quality advice to stakeholders.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the chance to organize seminars, coordinate administrative tasks, and proficiently manage research management systems. By doing so, you will become an invaluable asset to our researchers, while simultaneously fostering a valuable network with stakeholders from all levels.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Establishment and maintenance of excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Enter research management data into the University’s research management system financial and system accurately and completely to enable accurate reporting and analysis of the University’s performance.
- Support academics to submit high quality grant proposals to a range of domestic and international research funding schemes
- Assist academics with all aspects of post-award administration of research funding.

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities that enable you to establish enduring relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, diligence, organization, sound judgement, and a passion for research are all indispensable qualities that are highly valued and essential for success in this role.

You will also have:

- Tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work to competing deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Proven ability to thrive in a flexible, changing and fast-paced environment
