**About the Role**
Reporting into the Head of Product you will initiate and execute customer-led product strategies and business activities which drive the performance of the payments business within Global Payments AU/NZ. You will be in a crucial position with significant influence, acting as the intersection between customers, IT development, vendors and revenue teams.
The primary responsibility will be to focus on eCommerce and Online payment products and features (such as payment gateways, Card present (eftpos) terminals, merchant accounts, NPP/Osko, Open Banking, data security & fraud protection products, etc), however may be responsible for other products, as required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Initiating and executing customer-led product strategies;
- Contributing to the product road map you will have full product life-cycle responsibility including product and feature analysis and performance;
- Representing the needs of the customers, acting as their voice inside the business;
- Driving new product design, development and product improvement;
- Identifying trends and recommending new product opportunities in order to drive sales and profitability;
- Creating strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers & partners.

In addition to being both quality driven and customer focused, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience covering the full breadth of product design, development and life-cycle management in a hardware or software solutions-based organisation, ideally within **payments, FinTech or eCommerce;**:
- An understanding of **Card Present **(eftpos) terminals, their markets, and features;
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to understand the big picture in order to bring together perspectives from across the business;
- A passion for delivering great customer experiences and representing the voice of the customer;
- Ideally, technical product management experience in the payments industry;
- Experience with customer-led product strategies;
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to present compelling pricing recommendations;
- Ability to influence and communicate complex issues to senior management;
- Knowledge and/or experience working in an Agile environment;
- A love for technology, you must enjoy learning about how things work and able to explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people can understand.
