Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

The Art Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the role**

The Digital Producer is responsible for providing support and coordination for a range of digital products, content and digital projects that drive engagement and education, and deliver a high-quality digital experience for audiences of the Art Gallery.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in digital content production.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication skills to write and edit original content that is accurate and accessible to a wide audience.
- Knowledge of web design, Information Architecture, usability and user experience (UX), accessibility principles including an understanding of the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) and recent digital trends and practices.
- Knowledge of copyright and moral rights around the production of digital content.
- Ability to manage and produce multiple projects simultaneously, on time and within budget.

1. Describe a digital project you have worked on where you applied results from usability and/or accessibility testing to make changes to the content and experience that resulted in a more successful product. (400 word limit)

2. A major part of this role is to be the user advocate when working with a range of internal stakeholders balancing their needs but ultimately putting the users’ needs first. Provide a relevant example where a stakeholder request did not align well with user needs and the strategies you used produced an effective outcome. (400 word limit)
