**About the role**
- If you have an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and you are eager to make a difference in the response and recovery for people affected by Domestic and Family Violence, this is a great opportunity.

**Primary Objective(s) of the role**
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic responses to consumers affected by domestic and family violence (DFV).
- Development and delivery of quality psychosocial health service to support improved health outcomes for consumers through the provision of evidenced based interventions in line with the Model of Care
- Accountable for adhering to all facets of the Model of Care such as procedures and work instructions
- Continuous service improvement through research, evaluation and the development of policies, procedures and practice standards for the organisation

The Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) has strengthened its response to domestic and family violence with the launch of Cedar Health Service: Inclusive Domestic and Family Violence Healthcare.

Cedar Health Service offers multi-disciplinary care, providing a pathway for consumers to get the healthcare they need, which might otherwise be difficult to access.

Cedar Health Service offers counselling with social workers, health checks with doctors and nurses, as well as culturally appropriate services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and refugee/migrant communities.

**About the Women's and Children's Health Network**

The Women's and Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.

It is the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. It also provides important community-based services.

Each year, more than 30,000 people are admitted and about 5000 babies are born at the Women's and Children's Hospital. In addition more than 250,000 people come to the hospital as outpatients.

The hospital has 295 beds. The hospital’s paediatric and adolescent wards cater for all paediatric specialties. Women’s wards provide antenatal, gynaecology, neonatal and postnatal care.
