A unique technical position working with Serco and Melbourne Parks and Gardens. The role requires strong communications skills and a major focus on safety as well as the technical ability Co-ordinate and manage all Storm Water Harvesting services within the contract.

**About you**

You will have sound problem solving skills with the ability to achieve effective and efficient solutions to challenges and changes and have effective time and workload skills and the ability to prioritise tasks. You will have experience in a previous role and enjoy working individually and as apart of a wider team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Water Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of all plumbing works to ensure compliance with contract requirements. You will coordinate all the Storm Water Harvesting services within the contract according to the service plans. You will also ensure that Water Harvesting equipment are always maintained in good repair, Coordinating attendance to any defects in a timely and professional manner.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong focus on Safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Stakeholder Management
- Holder of a current VBA plumbing License/Registration (Water, Gas fitting, Drainage Sanitary, roofing and irrigation) AQF Level 4 equivalent.
- Traffic Management, Stop / Slow Bat.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance of parks, gardens and reserves of a similar nature to that required by the specification.
- A strong knowledge of how to operate and maintain pumps and other infrastructure used to harvest storm water.
- Skills and experience in irrigation system maintenance
- Identify, report & rectify water quality issues.
- OHS&E awareness including - JSEA’s, SWP’s, emergency evacuation procedures, manual handling, traffic management, working in confined spaces, working at heights and refuelling.
