About the role

**Your responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Lab Operations - Support Lab Manager, Operations Manager in the efficient day-to-day running of the lab and drive good lab practices
- Analysis - Conduct routine and non-routine and complex sample preparation, analysis and reporting and collate and review results
- Quality Control - Identify, investigate and resolve issues and complaints with effective solutions
- Client Services - Approve results and finalise client reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Continuous Improvement - Plan and perform method development and validation for new methods, as well as implement lab and sample efficiencies
- WHS - Demonstrate awareness for safety and environmental awareness, drive staff compliance with PPE and address hazards or safety issues
- Housekeeping - ensure ongoing housekeeping to keep a clean workspace

**Skills and Experiences**:
About you
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent
- Previous experience in a NATA accredited laboratory
- Experience with analytical instruments ICP-OES, ICP-MS, CV-AAS
- Experience with LIMS
- Strong analytical and chemistry knowledge
- Knowledge of common analytical methods, laboratory QC practice and calculations
- Strong instrument troubleshooting skills
- Previous Facility Assigned Signatory status
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
