About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to join our Maritime Sustainment program based at Osborne Naval Shipyard.
The position is also responsible for provision of training and skills improvement for risk management, along with ownership of risk systems / tools / repositories generated using Commonwealth systems / tools /repositories where nominated within the Project.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Establishing and managing the deployment of risk and opportunity process assets that support the Project
- Responsible for the compliance of BAE to the contracted requirements for Risk & Opportunity Management
- Leading the monitoring / auditing of project risk and opportunity for The Project
- Provision of specialist advice to assist project implementation of risk and opportunity activities
- Identifying and implementing risk and opportunity interventions to improve risk and opportunity management for the project
- Communicating and influencing to effectively promote management of risk and opportunity within the Project
- Partnering with the PM Function in the alignment of Defence consolidation and standardisation of risk and opportunity repositories
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management and / or significant risk / project experience (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in risk management within a Defence environment will be advantageous
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside their immediate team, to implement project/business requirements
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated partnership abilities to mentor and assist project/business requirements
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Predict Software.
- Current Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain
