**Summary of Job Description**:
To lead a dynamic team of National Account Managers through leadership, direction and resources to ensure sales targets are exceeded, and to liaise with cross functional team personnel to ensure short and long term sales strategies are applied by the team.

**This is an in-field position and domestic travel is expected.**

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Deliver sales performance and brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to meet or exceed national sales plan within expense budgets.
- As a pivotal member of the brand leadership team, proactively collaborate with key internal stakeholders and influence competitive national strategy by using high quality insights gained from the infield team and identifying opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver Brand Objectives.
- Translating marketing strategies into day to day working sales and promotional strategy and ensuring national priorities and tactics are executed locally through your team.
- Drive effective account planning process and consolidate the outcomes in order to flex our tactical delivery, operational execution and to anticipate market needs and opportunities.
- Manage resources strategically considering performance metrics and KPIs to ensuring optimal impact at a local level.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve key customer and stakeholder needs, expectations and challenges through building trusted partnerships and to achieve win-win agreements on a continuous basis.
- Ensure a motivational and performance driven team culture, ensure that the AbbVie leadership attributes are strengthened within the team, contributing positively to the overall AbbVie culture.
- Lead, manage, develop and coach the sales team (e.g., recruitment, retention, developmental plans, succession planning, training)
- Actively seek, identify, analyse, and present new business opportunities and improvement ideas to senior management on an ongoing basis.
- **Education/Experience Required**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in a science, business or management discipline or equivalent
- Comprehensive industry knowledge
- Previous Sales Management experience with strong sales track record, with a preference of previously managing Key Account Managers
- Experience in leading a diverse team of Sales and Marketing professionals.
- Launch experience will be advantageous.
