We are offering Certificate III in Business traineeships under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program.
In this traineeship, you will undertake administrative, clerical and customer service tasks that require technology and business skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in day-to-day administration functions
- Assist with correspondence, reports, and other documentation
- Provide accurate, prompt, and courteous customer service
The 12-month traineeship will give you:
- Practical work skills while working full time
- A nationally recognised qualification

**About the traineeships**
Multiple positions are available in the following fields:
**Customer Strategy and Experience**
- We aim to provide a great customer experience and ensure administrative and business support requirements are delivered efficiently
**Workplace, Health and Safety**
- This team works with all employees to provide and maintain a healthy and safe work environment not only for our workers but for members of the community who are affected by the work Council does. The team helps the business combine occupational safety and injury prevention with health and wellbeing to enhance worker health and prevent work-related injuries and illness
**Environment and sustainability**
- Work towards a greener future on projects that help maintain and improve our natural environment
**Libraries and Customer Service**
- Work with the team responsible for getting books, DVDs, eBooks and much more into Library branches across Ipswich, and onto our online platforms and Library apps
**Ipswich Civic Centre**
- Provide administrative services to assist in the operations of the performing arts venues in Ipswich
**About you**
To be successful in thiese traineeships you will:
- Enjoy communicating with customers, being organised and working with structured processes
- Like using technology and have basic Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Have a genuine interest in working in a business related field
- Enjoy working in a team and communicate well with others
- Be dedicated to completing a qualification and studying in your own time and work time
- Be able to live on a trainee wage
- Eligible to undergo training to obtain a certificate III in Business Administration
To be eligible to obtain a certificate during the traineeship, you need to:
- Be a Queensland resident with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia
- Have not completed this qualification previously

Successful trainees must be eligible to work in Australia and agree to provide information for pre-employment screening which may include a criminal history check.
**About the benefits**
These are 12 month fixed-term traineeships with a salary between $346 and $761 (before tax) per week, plus superannuation of up to 12.5%. The salary is dependent on age and level of schooling achieved.
