**Salary**: Grade 3 $114,937 - $128,059 pa + superannuation + leave loading

**About the Role**

Corrective Services NSW is looking for an experienced library professional to play a pivotal role in the delivery of services to diverse customers across NSW. If you have a desire to develop service improvements based on what’s important to customers, please read on and consider joining our team.

**What you’ll do**

You’ll join a dedicated team of 7 information professionals who work from two locations - the leafy surrounds of the Corrective Services NSW Academy in Eastwood, and the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) in Silverwater.

Your role will include managing the MRRC Library Team, and collaboration with the network of libraries across Correctional Centres in NSW to deliver a range of services including direct customer service and reference, collection development, and the provision of legal resources to suit diverse needs.

You’ll work at both the Academy and MRRC Libraries and foster strong connections with our customers, community, and other stakeholders. Some occasional travel will be required to Correctional Centre libraries in NSW.

**Essential Requirements**

Qualifications acceptable for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or tertiary qualifications and experience deemed by the Secretary or the Public Service Commission to be equivalent, that meets the minimum standard of skill and knowledge inherent in the ALIA standard

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.

Corrective Services NSW Academy manages departmental training within the Delivery, Performance & Culture Branch of Corrective Services NSW, in line with Registered Training Organisation guidelines. The Academy provides high quality training and assessment to support the learning and development of operational staff within CSNSW and other jurisdictions.
