**About the Opportunity**

Lead the commercial Cost Management and Construction Compliance function including both pre-contract and post contract works related to Hotel, Dan Murphy’s & BWS projects.

The nature of the internal Cost & Compliance Manager role will be in benchmarking, analysis of ongoing costs, pricing of standard designs and schemes, maintenance of pricing consistency and oversight of external QS services for quality and SLA compliance. The management of our capital envelope, processes of orders, invoicing, through to project closure also falls within this role. All transactional QS activities are outsourced. In addition, management of our building contracts, ensuring that are up to date and relevant to the industry.
- Manage all external service QS provider duties as per engagement matrix
- Manage Format capital projects, PO’s, invoicing through to project closure > circa 200m+ per annum
- Capital forecasting for Dan Murphys, BWS and ALH
- Develop and implement continuous improvement review process with external service providers including update kit costing, addenda, etc
- Accurate monthly kit cost available each Quarterly
- Addendum Cost Impact Incorporated Quarterly
- Review, amend and update our suite of building contracts
- Prepare market insights reporting inc. industry trends and material increases, present these insights to senor management
- Provide budget estimates & opinion of costs for SIB and initiative rollout projects
- Prepare cost plans for Hotel, BWS and Dan Murphy’s KITs (projects ranging from 100k to 25m)
- KITs & Addenda value engineering, delivering cost savings to the brands (target 3% per annum year on year)
- Prepare and maintain generic cost plans for standard renewal and upgrade scopes

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Construction Management and or Quantity Surveyor qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in QS Management
- Experience in highly disruptive retail environments
- Drives performance and outcomes
- Experience in managing in a disrupted environment
- Experience in building contracts
- Procore and SAP knowledge desirable
- Created and operated in Customer Centric environment
- Created sustainable commercial value with proven P&L management
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders in complex organisations
- Leads through ambiguity
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail fundamentals
- Ability to translate customer data and insights into meaningful and relevant action
