**About the role**:
Working with the Community Life team, you will identify, create and nurture strategic and outcomes focused partnerships with organisations and groups across the Local Government Area to respond to the strategies and priorities in the Community Strategic Plan.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community development or similar field.
- Knowledge in Asset Based Community Development principles and practices.
- Sound understanding of, and commitment to, contemporary place making principles and practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of key stakeholders in the community, including government, non
- government and business and a demonstrated ability to work with these stakeholders.
- Knowledge in community engagement techniques.
- Current Class C drivers licence and working with children check
- Demonstrated understanding of strategic planning processes and approaches.
- Extensive work related experience in social sciences, community development or similar field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Asset Based Community Development principles and practices.
- Specialist experience in implementing community development initiatives in both established and newly developed communities.
- Demonstrated experience in using quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
- Experience in managing communications in a politically sensitive environment.
- Commitment to role modelling our values of respect, integrity, trust, teamwork and optimism.
