**About the Role**
This role is a designated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research role. The appointee will be employed within the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation, Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Melbourne Medical School as an Indigenous Knowledge /Citizen Science Specialist to oversee establishment of the Bigaagarri Platform.

The University of Melbourne, through the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation, successfully led a MRFF Consumer-Led Research Grant**:A Citizen Science Project to co-create 'BigaagARri' a Preventive Experiential, Arts, Cultural Evidence (PEACE) model for implementing at-scale in primary care and community.** The PEACE project brings together existing citizen science efforts across different universities to co-create preventive, experiential, art and cultural evidence (PEACE) models for holistic health that are trauma-violence informed conversations using immersive media. In Gumbaynggirr language, 'bigaagarri' means danger/threat to wellbeing. It signals to stay back and keep safe from this. This is a gifted word from one of the Aboriginal investigators on the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead Indigenous Knowledge activities as a member of a multidisciplinary, large national research team.
- Organise working group meetings, coordinate project meetings and provide updates on the coordination of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-lived-experience research group.
- Oversee the design and development of a digital platform to house immersive media and support co-creation processes within communities, including expanded engagement approaches and methods for crowdsourcing.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will bring experience as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researcher in health, community, or government settings. Your expertise includes understanding digital technologies, platform development, and knowledge of augmented reality and virtual reality in healthcare.

You will also have:

- Experience as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researcher across health, community or government settings.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital technologies and platform design and development processes.
- Knowledge of augmented reality and virtual reality immersive media and its use within health care settings.
- Track record of partnership work, coordination of meetings and being comfortable with ethics approval processes.
