- Our client is a global leader in the design, engineering, development and marketing of performance vehicles. We are looking for a seasoned MPL manager to join the team in this critical phase of growing company.
- The Materials Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the Planning, Ordering, Supply and Delivery of components to Production lines to ensure continuous production of vehicles, in addition to carrying a case load of active suppliers. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the two key pillars of the function being. Supply & Material Planning - Translating Master Production Schedules into Component Ordering Logistics Planning & Management (Components) - Local and International (Sea & Air)
- **Responsiblities**:

- Day-to-day oversight & motivation of Supply Chain / Material Planning Personnel to ensure achievement of the production schedule (i.e. all parts are in-store & available for ongoing production)
- Review & Monitor demand planning by the MRP including sensitivities due to MPS changes (and ensuring feasibility of any such changes)
- Monitor risks in the supply chain and facilitate risk mitigation activities to support continuous production
- Monitor & Assist Material Planners in their work with component and logistics suppliers to ensure timely ordering, freight and delivery of components
- Report to WAG Management on component delivery risk status and mitigation strategies
- Oversee the Logistics Planning function including freight bookings, freight management, freight supplier escalation (land, sea & air) - Main Operations Point of Contact for Freight Company
- Develop and execute alternative freight plans (where required)
- Monitor & Report on Production Inventory across the WAG business
- Assist the Warehouse & Finance Teams in resolution of Delivery & Invoice discrepancies (Receiving, Receipting, Containers, Inventory Storage, Line Feeding, Cycle Counting, Waste, MHE, Packaging/Dunnage
- Execute elements the component re-manufacturing process
- Execute Change Management actions (Break Points & Obsolescence)
- Escalate to the Procurement Manager, any Supplier expediting required to facilitate urgent supply
- Facilitate Material Supply Issues Resolution on daily basis - liaise with material planners (internal), suppliers (external) and freight providers for response to daily materials issues that could impact production throughput
- Standardised weekly reporting to the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Director.
- Work with Program Procurement Managers to ensure timely delivery of New Model Program Materials & Production deliverables
- Manage and present metrics for the above.
- Chair internal meetings with key stakeholders to review short term and medium-term supply chain risks

**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Experience in Material Planning & Logistics with a minimum of 10 years experience in related fields
- Must be familiar with Automotive Manufacturing and associated processes

**Skills Required**:
- Excellent understanding of international and local supply chain processes
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems.
- Management Reporting & Data Analytics with attention to detail (see the issues before they happen).
- Confident communication capabilities - Excellent verbal and written and Presentation skills
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate the ability to build a thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
