**YOUR ROLE**

Join IAG’s Group Operational Risk and Assurance team and provide group-wide thought leadership, advice and support as you optimise the management of Third Party Risk and Technology Risk. You will lead the group-wide oversight and assurance over specialty classes including Line 1 owned frameworks as you provide insightful reporting to Board, Executive and senior Management governance committees. You will support senior management, 1st and 2nd Line teams as well as lead a team of highly skilled risk professionals to continuously enhance the proactive management of specialty classes, promoting a sound risk culture.

You will be responsible to develop the strategy in alignment with IAG’s Risk and Group strategy as you lead changes to the framework, policies, standards and procedures. Critical to your success will be to continually scan the market for emerging risks, new and improved approaches to management of specialty classes including new technologies as you continue to uplift capability through training and awareness.

**This role is a Permanent opportunity ideally based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.**

**ABOUT YOU**
- Demonstrated strong team leadership experience in large scale, complex environments
- Insurance/Financial services experience with advanced Third Party Risk, Technology Risk and Operational Risk management experience at a senior level
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with industry regulations and Regulators
- Extensive senior level experience including the ability to build and foster internal and external networks
- Effective collaboration, co-design and influencing in a senior team environment to manage change and drive IAG’s and Group Risk’s strategy execution
- Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organised and action-oriented, with high attention to detail and forward planning
- Undergraduate/Postgraduate degrees in Risk Management/Third Party Risk/Technology Risk
- Qualifications/experience in industry frameworks such as Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) / International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 27001
- Qualifications from recognised industry associations such as Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
