This leading Australian Wealth Management business brings Super & Retirement, Platforms, Advice and supporting divisions together under one leadership team to provide whole-of-wealth services to their customers.

The Risk team operates as part of the three lines of defence (3LoD) model within the Australian Wealth Management business, with dual reporting lines into the Super & Retirement and Platforms divisions.

The purpose of this role is to support the Group Executive in managing the end to end risk and control environment for the Platforms business. It also supports the responsibilities of the business to provide expertise in relation to the identification, assessment, and management of risk and drive a strong risk culture that helps achieve business objectives.

It is a highly visible business facing position that will require you to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This will involve providing insight, advice and hands-on support to help drive a strong risk and compliance culture.

Additional key responsibilities include:

- Support oversight and assurance of the control environment supporting the Platforms Division and the support functions that impact its operations. This includes providing advice and expert input into efficient and effective control design, and performing controls testing (Design & Operating Effectiveness) according to the Controls Testing Calendar.
- Support regular monitoring and management of risks within risk appetite. This includes active monitoring of the risk profile (including risk and control assessments, incident and issue analysis), Risk Appetite Statement metrics and Key Risk Indicators for assigned businesses within the Platforms Division.
- Implement, maintain and/or coordinate reviews of assigned risk governance frameworks or standards for the Super, Retirement and Platforms Division, ensuring that they are operating effectively within the wider Group frameworks.
- Support business use of key risk management information (MI) tools. This includes supporting the development of dashboards and/or reporting that engages business users and train business stakeholders on the use of these tools.
- Support key business change initiatives, including partnering with business and regulatory projects, executing interim and final Delivered Risk Assessments,.

**Experience and qualifications required**

In addition to your demonstrated risk and compliance background within Wealth Management/Distribution and/or Platforms, you will possess:

- Minimum 5 years relevant experience and proven performance in risk management, providing risk advice as well assisting in designing and implementing operational risk controls, controls testing and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at a range of levels
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think laterally and strategically
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to inform or influence specific audiences
- Ability to implement, monitor, and report on risk management and compliance frameworks, risks and incidents across multiple businesses.
