**The Role**
The purpose of the Portfolio Administrator role is to effectively implement the MPS and SMA operations to the business. This includes but is not limited to new account linking and rebalancing, MPS weekly rebalancing and responding to queries and providing details of the services to advisers and support staff.
The role also includes supporting SMA operations relating to SMA rebalancing issues and escalations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Establishment of model portfolios on platforms
- Maintenance of portfolio models, including making both investment and allocation changes on a regular basis
- Activation of the account rebalancing process following approval of portfolio models from management
- Generate rebalances on portfolios based on excess or deficient cash positions, changes in model or ad hoc requests
- Using platform software, generate trades resulting from model portfolio changes and any other triggers as directed
- Review trades prior to execution for exceptions, i.e. availability of cash or securities
- Be a key contact for ongoing adviser communications including providing updates on portfolio changes, Portfolio Corporate Action updates, Processes and Procedures.
- Receive platform and product queries and issues and assist to resolve
- Provide ongoing support, training and education to internal and 3rd party advisers and support staff
**To be successful in this role you will possess**:
- Experience working in platform operations, stockbroking or funds management
- Knowledge of licensee networks would be highly regarded
- Ability to build relationships at all levels
- Exceptional client service skills
- Solid Excel skills
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Financial Planning
