**The Organisation**
NATSIHA's purpose is to facilitate access to quality, accessible, affordable, and culturally appropriate housing to help empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families, and communities to optimise their health and wellbeing and improve their employment opportunities, access to education, connection to community and sense of home.
NATSIHA will lead the way in implementing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Data Strategy that is underpinned by the principles of Indigenous Data Sovereignty and will support capability building across the sector to harness data as a cultural, strategic and economic asset.
**The Role**
The Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the team in driving and executing communications both internally and externally by growing NATSIHA’s public profile through strategic marketing objectives and activities.
The role will also manage NATSIHA's newsletter content, website, as well as the coordination, advertising and promotion of NATSIHA's conferences and events. You will have a strong ability working across social media, and be equipped to compile social media plans and implement at beneficial times for traction.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience working in media, marketing or communications, preferably for an Aboriginal organisation, not-for-profit, community services or government organisation;
- Strong written communication skills, as well as social media management across multiple formats, targeted to diverse audiences;
- Strong content creation for digital and print using Adobe InDesign;
- Experience working with key online services, databases and programs such as WordPress, Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Eventbrite;
- Completion or progress towards relevant tertiary qualifications in communication, marketing or other relevant discipline.
- Experience coordinating and managing events and conferences.
