The Royal Automobile Association (RAA) is an iconic South Australian organisation that continues to grow, innovate, and adapt with members. Today, almost 800,000 members across the state choose RAA to deliver them peace of mind through their trusted range of motoring, insurance, travel and more recently home and energy products and services supported by over 1,200 staff. The Chief Technology Officer is an opportunity to lead the strategic direction of RAA’s technology, digital and IT risk through steering the operating model and digital development to achieve the digital vision.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a multi-disciplinary team across several diverse areas (with over 100 staff), you will provide strategic counsel on digital, technology, information management, technology governance, cyber and IT risk matters to the executive leadership team and Board. Leading the design, delivery and implementation of the ICT strategy and roadmap, your teams will provide architectural oversight of the information and technology platforms and align major investments to the business’s strategic goals and priorities. Playing a key role in the digital transformation, you will lead the operating model and digital development to deliver the member proposition and growth. Leading strategic projects and group cyber security strategies, whilst ensuring optimal performing technology foundations across the business, are all part of this strategic remit.

A seasoned executive with broad ICT and digital management experience, you will have demonstrated success in setting a strategic technology direction and leading a team of technology professionals. Strong commercial acumen and change management skills, your people and leadership expertise will be your strongest asset, with a track record of success nurturing and growing teams. A visionary, you will be a natural ‘blue sky’ thinker, coupled with evidence of successful execution in a high growth environment. A creative, you will enjoy thinking differently and working collaboratively across an organisation to solve complex problems, move culture and inspire change.
