Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed economic assessments and environmental impact studies for various infrastructure development projects.
- Review cost-benefit analyses submitted for various projects and programs to ensure they are accurate and high-quality.
- Check and validate critical assumptions, ensuring alignment with relevant guidelines and standards for methodological consistency.
- Offer expert advice on developing business cases and CBAs, ensuring they are robust and reliable.
- Perform regression analysis and other econometric modelling techniques to support thorough project assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings and offer clear recommendations.
- Explain complex economic concepts and findings to various stakeholders, including government agencies, project teams, and the public.
- Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions to help applicants and project stakeholders understand economic assessments and processes.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for the team.
**Required Qualifications and Skills**:
- A bachelor’s or a higher degree in Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5+ years in conducting economic assessments and environmental impact studies on infrastructure development projects.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in regression analysis and econometric modelling.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex economic concepts to non-experts.
- Familiarity with relevant guidelines and standards for economic assessments.
- Strong attention to detail and methodological consistency.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
