An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Gas Fitter - Level 1 to join Origin’s LPG Energy Markets Business, based in Bulwer Island, Brisbane. The position provides Gas Fitting services for the installation and maintenance of gas equipment at Origin customer and terminal sites.
- Complete new LPG installations to prescribed time frames in line with required codes and standards.
- Complete records in accordance with statutory and company requirements for bulk tanks, cylinders, and terminal
- To actively participate in all residential, commercial, and industrial installations in the area
- Promote Origin services to and build relationships with customers to ensure best possible return for the business
- Provide advice on LPG gas installations to customers, including internal contacts
- Provide quotations to account managers for new or upgraded installations in line with required codes and standards
- Review existing installations to ensure they comply with current industry standards and Origin codes
- Determine the most appropriate way to complete an installation
- Completion of required documents under the permit to work system

You place a high priority on searching for new ways to gain efficiency without sacrifice to the customer, service or safety. You demonstrate a competent knowledge of established workplace and industry procedures for LPG supply, servicing and distribution, as well as are able to work in an outside environment and be prepared to learn and comply with Company and Statutory requirements.

While working unsupervised, your ability to deal with customers and resolve gas related issues and remain calm under pressure is essential. You possess a current Driver’s Licence, suitable for all vehicles driven.

You are a trade qualified Gas Fitter, with an unrestricted gas fitting license and exposure to LPG and Natural Gas. Prior domestic experience with exposure to performing B type servicing, breakdowns and installation of gas appliances, including air-conditioning. Plumbing/Draining and Electrical Licences are desirable.
