**About the role**:
Origin, Australia's largest energy retailer with 4.3 million customers, is continuously evolving to meet their needs. We are seeking an experienced Gas Fitter to join our LPG Energy Markets Business at Bulwer Island, Brisbane. In this position, you will be responsible for providing gas fitting services for the installation and maintenance of gas equipment at Origin customer and terminal sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete new LPG installations within specified time frames and in compliance with required codes and standards
- Ensure all work is conducted safely by adhering to Origin's permit to work system
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory and company requirements
- Provide expert advice on LPG gas installations to customers
- Review existing installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and Origin codes
**What you will bring**:
- You are a qualified Gas Fitter with experience working with LPG and Natural Gas
- You prioritise finding new ways to improve efficiency without compromising customer service or safety
- Possess a solid understanding of established workplace and industry procedures for LPG supply, servicing, and distribution
- You can work independently and excel in dealing with customers and resolving gas-related issues, remaining calm under pressure
- You hold a valid Driver's License suitable for all vehicles driven
