The Commission is an independent statutory body that promotes improvement in policies and practices affecting the safety and wellbeing of Victorian children and young people. It has a particular focus on vulnerable children and young people. The Commission is also the regulator for the Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme. The position sits within the Corporate Services team and reports to the Manager, Corporate Service however, will have engagement across the broader Commission including the Koori Advisory and Engagement team.
About the opportunity

**In this role you will**:

- provide high level executive assistance and operational support to the Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People and support the effective operations of the Commission
- liaise with internal and external stakeholders including arranging meetings, coordinating and distributing accurate, correct and appropriate information
- maintain effective documentation and records, ensuring relevant minutes, reports, registers, accounts, contracts and correspondence are filed accurately and maintained
- support the administrative needs of the Commission more broadly and ensure all relevant deadlines relating to the Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People are met.

About You
- proven experience providing high level executive support services
- ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- strong stakeholder liaison skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- sound knowledge of Victorian Aboriginal culture and society.
