**Role Description/Criteria**

St Thomas More is a professional learning community where educators work together to plan, teach and assess collaboratively, focusing on personalised learning for every individual. We are equipped with the latest technology and evidence-based teaching practices which support learning and teaching within the school and beyond. It is expected that every student will learn to the best of their potential.

Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Learning Support Officers with varying levels of experience for the following position to commence duties in Term 2 of 2023.

This is a fixed term position that is for 3 days per week and has potential to be extended into 2024.

Applicants will be expected to:
Be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic

Display effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and resourceful

Work supportively with students and teachers in achieving the goals outlined in Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)

Provide support to teachers and assist students with their learning

Record information regarding the progress of student learning

Plan learning activities for students who require additional support in partnership with Classroom Teachers

Maintain records of observations and adjustments

Maintain confidentiality regarding the details of a student’s special needs and program

Have a suitable certificate in Education Support training (preferred)
