**About the Company**
The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards, and advising on law reform and legal matters.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe, and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.

BFCSA is an RTO within the Governance and Continuous Improvement Branch of CSNSW. The Academy provides high quality training and assessment to support the learning and development of operational staff within CSNSW and other jurisdictions

**About the Role**
The Continuous Improvement Officer works with the Manager, Continuous Improvement & Compliance Unit in providing guidance and advice to BFCSA management and staff. The role is integral in maintaining quality assurance and ensuring continuous improvement of training programs and compliance requirements of BFCSA as a Registered Training Organisation.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Have extensive knowledge of and ability to meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Thorough understanding of RTO compliance, the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and training package requirements
- Ability to analyse and review information effectively within required timeframes,
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral, to support learning opportunities and information sharing.
- Able to establish supportive and collaborative approaches to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Utilise project management strategies to support ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Have attention to detail, conduct and report on quality control audits.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor)
- Tertiary qualifications in a Training or Education Discipline and/ Or equivalent work experience
