About Surat State School
An opportunity exists for an educational leader to join the team at Surat State School. The school is located approximately 1 hour south of Roma and 3.5 hours west of the Toowoomba. Surat sits within the Maranoa region which is renowned for its productive agricultural industry which has been complimented with expansion in the energy and tourism sectors.
The school is an integral part of the community where education is regarded as a three-way process involving teacher, parent and student. A constructive and positive partnership between parents and teachers is vital to the success of our students. The teaching and learning program is designed to provide quality education which meets the needs, interests and abilities of students by emphasising the development of appropriate and relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Surat State School caters for students from Prep to Year 10 with current enrolment numbers at 97.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
