**Role Purpose**

Aesop are seeking an organized and diligent **Category Procurement Officer **to join our Supply Chain team in a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern, based at our global head office in Collingwood.

Reporting into our Procurement Operations Manager, you will be responsible for liaising with suppliers to ensure that Point of Sale/promotional items and back of house support items are available to use in manufacturing, or available for store use.

The role is pivotal in ensuring Aesop has a full range of products to sell and Retail items to offer in store to help enhance the customer experience.

**Key responsibilities (not limited to)**
- Supplier Management: day to day management of key suppliers including Point of Sale/promotional items and back of house support
- Co-ordinate with suppliers; manage costs and negotiate favourable rates and terms with suppliers. Mitigate and escalate disruptions/risks ahead of time to relevant teams.
- Monitor the performance of all key suppliers, ensuring they are aware of deadlines, priorities, and special instructions, collecting monthly KPI data, attending regular site visits and governance meetings
- Support purchasing activities to ensure goods are available for production use. Ensuring all systems and administrative areas of supplier set up are completed so P2P can raise orders with suppliers in an efficient manner.
- Support NPD retail projects: actively participate in regular packaging technical development meetings, and ensure relevant parties are kept updated on progress and issues for any projects.
- Act as the escalation contact for the stakeholders with supplier delays, issues, and projects
- Support and provide administrative support to the broader Procurement Team as required from time to time.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience in a similar purchasing role or operational role
- Sound knowledge of purchasing systems and purchasing procedures
- Ability to demonstrate initiative to control, manage and continually improve quality, cost efficiency and effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with all departments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage, and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work
- A true desire to work, grow and develop a career within Procurement team
